AwaRuns Customer Delivery Terms
Last updated: 2 October 2026
1. About AwaRuns
AwaRuns is the delivery service offered through AwaHop by Awa Technology Services Ltd.
These Terms apply to customers booking deliveries through AwaRuns and are separate from the participation terms applicable to couriers and drivers.
Registered address: House 4, 1 E Road, Phase 2, F.H.A., Lugbe, Abuja, Federal Capital Territory, Nigeria.
Contact: admin@awahop.com.
2. Booking a delivery
Provide accurate collection and delivery addresses, working contact numbers, recipient details, instructions and an accurate description of the item.
Declare its value accurately. The maximum accepted declared package value is ₦50,000.
Select the appropriate package-size option, package and seal the item suitably, and comply with the prohibited-item information and any service restrictions shown in the booking process.
The service may decline an unsuitable item or booking.
No additional numerical weight or dimension limit is stated here unless it is actually adopted and communicated in the booking process.
3. Delivery charges
The applicable delivery charge is displayed in the application before a customer confirms a booking.
The declared value of a package is separate from the delivery charge.
Any additional return or redelivery charge must be disclosed and agreed before that additional service proceeds.
4. Customer cancellations
Cancellation is free before a courier accepts a booking.
After courier acceptance and before collection, including after courier arrival, a cancellation charge may apply where charging is enabled.
The applicable amount will be disclosed in the application before the customer confirms cancellation. Only one cancellation charge applies to a booking cancellation.
Where the courier cancels before collection, the customer will not incur a cancellation fee. Any payment collected for an unperformed delivery will be refunded in accordance with applicable law.
Once an item has been collected, customers should contact Help & Support to discuss available return or alternative delivery arrangements.
All cancellation charges remain subject to applicable consumer-protection laws.
5. Recipient unavailable or incorrect delivery details
Where a recipient is unavailable or cannot be contacted, the courier should refer the matter to AwaRuns support.
Support will coordinate appropriate next steps with the customer who booked the delivery, including an agreed return or alternative delivery arrangement where available.
A parcel must not be left unattended without the sender's express agreement.
Where incorrect customer information or recipient unavailability causes a delivery problem, additional return or redelivery charges may apply only after the amount has been disclosed and agreed.
Customers will not be charged additional correction fees where the delivery failure was caused by AwaRuns or its courier.
6. Lost or damaged items
Report suspected loss or damage through Help & Support, identify the delivery and provide available evidence of the item's value and condition.
AwaRuns will investigate before deciding the claim.
- Lost item: Compensation is based on verified actual value, up to the declared booking value and a maximum of ₦50,000, subject to non-excludable rights under applicable law.
- Damaged item: The reasonable repair cost or verified loss in value, capped by verified actual value, declared value and ₦50,000, subject to non-excludable rights under applicable law.
AwaRuns may request reasonable supporting evidence where monetary value is uncertain.
Poor packaging, inaccurate description or declarations, prohibited contents or other materially contributing customer conduct may be considered fairly; none automatically extinguishes a valid claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under Nigerian law.
7. Delivery-fee refunds
Where an item is lost or delivery fails because of AwaRuns or its courier, the delivery fee will be refunded in full, separately from any applicable item compensation.
Where an item is delivered damaged, a partial or full delivery-fee refund may be considered alongside the damage claim.
Where delivery cannot be completed because of inaccurate customer information or recipient unavailability, there is no automatic refund for delivery services already performed, subject to applicable consumer rights.
Additional return or redelivery charges must be disclosed and agreed before proceeding.
Refunds are handled through AwaRuns support and the applicable payment provider.
8. Customer responsibilities
Customers must describe and declare items accurately; respect the ₦50,000 maximum package value; package and seal items safely; give accurate instructions, addresses and contact numbers; observe displayed restrictions; and cooperate reasonably with support during delivery problems or claims.
9. Eligibility and minors
Account holders must be at least 18 years old.
An adult may make a lawful delivery booking involving a minor as sender or recipient while remaining responsible for the booking, authority and accurate instructions.
A minor need not create a separate account or independently accept these Terms.
Where consent is the lawful basis for processing a child's personal information, appropriate parent or guardian consent and legally required verification will apply.
10. Privacy
The AwaHop and AwaRuns Privacy Policy explains collection, lawful processing, sharing, security, data rights, requests, notifications and applicable safeguards for deliveries.
Requests may be sent to admin@awahop.com with the subject Data Protection Request.
11. Liability and disputes
AwaRuns will provide its service with reasonable care in accordance with Nigerian law.
Nothing excludes or restricts a liability, consumer right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable liability for fraud, negligence, defective performance or misrepresentation.
Subject to applicable law, AwaRuns is not responsible for loss caused solely by extraordinary circumstances outside its reasonable control that could not reasonably have been avoided.
Customers can raise claims through Help & Support or admin@awahop.com.
